Duong Lam Ancient Village 1 Day

Duong Lam ancient village is an original name from early Neolithic period to now. Particularly, in the 8th century, the period of semi – autonomous under the Chinese Tang dynasty occupation, Duong Lam is also known as the homeland of two kings, Phung Hung (791 become king when Tang was declined) and Ngo Quyen (938 become king end up 1000 years China occupation 111BC – 938). A thousand year later, we still have a relic village with multi traditional typical culture to see.
8 00 AM we start to drive toward the West of Hanoi city to Duong Lam ancient village. Upon arrival we start to visit Preserved ancient local houses, Mong Phu temple, King Phung Hung and King Ngo Quyen tombs which dedicated to the two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung…
Have a small lunch in local home – restaurant.
After lunch, we return to Hanoi city, en route we have a slight stop at Thay pagoda.

Thay Pagoda (chùa Thầy) is located on the foot of Sài Sơn Mountain. The temple was built under the Lý Dynasty in 12 century, and is dedicated to Zen master (thien sư Từ Đạo Hạnh 1072-1116). The pagoda is also known as the Thiên Phúc Tự (Pagoda of the Heavenly Blessing). The main complex is adorned with many interior statues which are reflected Zen master’ reincarnation story, statues of God and Buddha. Zen master is also being known as the teacher of water puppet performance of Vietnam which celebrate a festival on 5th of lunar March.
