With the departure of Ha Giang town, tourists can be satisfied with their passion for exploring the culture and local ethnic minorities. You can visit Lo Lo people in a hamlet village in Pho Cao and see the locals make their weaving linen – which is usually done by women. Quang Ba market is the next stop for a glimpse of the culture of Ethnic minorities’ activities. A beautiful village of the Tay minority named Phuong Do is an example of the original architecture of the Tay people that you couldn’t find anywhere.
Drive up to Dong Van in the late afternoon. It is the highest point on the map of Viet Nam. You will check in a local guesthouse or House on stilt Viet Lam, a local family home-stay
Dong Van locate on 1200m with the sea surface. It is also a capital of a group of H’Mong ethnic minorities. You will visit the Home of H’Mong’s King, Old town and Dong Van Market on foot. Come back from your homestay (Guest House) and drive to Meo Vac town, which is so famous by Love Market – which often opens in March on the lunar calendar.
Have lunch in Meo Vac, explore the market and drive down the mountain to ha Giang town. Stay overnight in Hotel.
Today you will take around 200 km back to Tuyen Quang and turn left toward Ba Be with 200km more, so please keep calm in this section. On the road will have plenty of time to take photos you might miss on the way to Ha Giang town. Arriving at Ba Be in the late afternoon, check in at National Park Guest House.
After breakfast, we drive the short distance to the jetty – where we board our private boat for a cruise on the lake. We visit the Puong cave and the Dau Dang waterfall. Following lunch, we continue cruising along the lake before docking at the village of Pac Ngoi. Home of the Tay minority people, where we will spend the night.
This morning we drive to Cao Bang and pass numerous villages of Hmong, Zao, Tay and Nung ethnic minority people on the way. Reaching Cao Bang before lunchtime, we have a short time to explore the little town and local market.
After lunch, we will transfer to Ban Gioc Water Fall – the biggest waterfall in Viet Nam and located on the border of Viet Nam – China. At this waterfall, you have two options: swimming or renting a rafting bamboo to float around a bit and visiting a cave on top of the waterfall. Today is a busy day so you will come to Hotel in Cao Bang very late.
Start the trekking tour with your local guide and porters – who will arrange your meals and assist you along the trek.
We drive to the Ta Lung border of Viet Nam – China for lunch. Later we begin our trek with a 15km walk to the LA village, which is inhabited by the Tay Ethnic minority and stay overnight in a local homestay.
Today we trek from La village to Na Nieng village, another Tay community. The trek is approximately 16 km long, and you will have an opportunity a challenge to cross many streams. Then stay overnight in Na Mieng Village.
Trekking through several minority hamlets, we stop for lunch at the village of Dong Khe before venturing onto the Red Dao settlement of Pac Khoang. It is around 20 Km long.
Our final full day of trekking takes us to the Tay village of Na Pang, then walk a little bit further to your hotel in a small Townville – That Khe. In the early morning, you will have the opportunity to visit a lovely market where many ethnic minorities dress in traditional customs while doing their business. The trekking distance is around 17km trek.
Bidding our hosts farewell, we drive downhill to Lang Son town. After lunch in the village, we meet with our vehicle and go to Hanoi.
