Mekong Hide Away

You can reach the breathtaking river wonderland of the Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh City in just two hours by car. This region is a must-see for anyone visiting Vietnam. This experience has been specially designed for you by our guides who were born and raised in the area, so that you can escape the madding crowds of tourists and get a feel for what it’s like to live like a local there.

8:00AM. In order to get the tour started, we will come pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

While we are traveling, we will stop at the Vinh Trang pagoda, which is known for being the largest pagoda in the Mekong delta. After we have arrived in My Tho, we will take a boat ride along the Mekong River. Along the river, you will be able to see fish cages as well as houses that are floating on the water. You can completely escape the hustle and bustle of the city by taking the rowboat through the narrow canals that are lined on both sides with the fronds of coconut trees.

You will arrive at a coconut island after taking a boat ride through a canal lined with coconut trees. We have to disembark and then take a stroll through the town. Stop by at a family home in the neighborhood to sample some honey tea or honey wine, indulge in some tropical fruits, and listen to some traditional music from Vietnam played on acoustic instruments by the villagers.
