ITE HCMC 2022, the International Travel Expo of Ho Chi Minh City, is a game-changer when it comes to luring tourists from other countries to Vietnam.
The Organisation Board has announced that the 16th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City – ITE HCMC 2022 with the theme “Growing Forward Together” will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from the 8th to the 10th of September 2022 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). The event breaks new ground and helps to attract international tourists to Vietnam.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, “In the context of tourism reopening post-COVID-19, ITE HCMC 2022 is one of the most important activities to accelerate international media and promote Vietnam tourism worldwide. We are actively inviting partners, groups, quality international buyers, as well as domestic and international tourism businesses to attend, with the promise of bringing large numbers of international visitors from both traditional and new markets to Vietnam in the near future. The expo will continue to be a large and prestigious annual international destination for tourism trade in Vietnam and the lower Mekong region due to the innovative way in which it is organized.
After two years of the pandemic, this is an opportunity to promote the image of the country, the people of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh City to domestic and international visitors, as well as an occasion for travel and tourism businesses to reconnect services, thereby improving supply and demand. With the increase in size and quality, as well as the incorporation of information technology and online transactions, the expo will become a vibrant hub for promoting inbound tourism.
The expo is anticipated to attract tens of thousands of international visitors, buyers, and exhibitors in search of cooperation and innovative development opportunities in the post-pandemic tourism industry. The expo will provide attendees with a variety of attractive tourism packages, promotional flight tickets, art performance shows, and gifts.
According to the Organisation Board, domestic and international tourism businesses that participate in ITE HCMC 2022 will receive preferential treatment. Specifically, domestic units will require a 50 percent price subsidy, while international units will require a 15 percent price subsidy.
Within three days of the event, there are the following highlights: Vietnam Night “The Essence of Vietnamese Rice,” Korean Night, Vietnam MICE Tourism Forum, and Tourism Market Introduction Workshop.
