Day 1: Journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai for Sapa by Night Train

Begin your adventure in the evening as your guide accompanies you to Hanoi Station to board the train to Lao Cai. Enjoy an overnight journey on the train.

Day 2: Exploring Lao Cai and Sapa (B)

Arrive at Lao Cai train station around 6 a.m. Transfer to Sapa, a scenic 1.5-hour drive covering 33 km. Check into your hotel (subject to availability) in Sapa, freshen up, and have breakfast. Enjoy free time to explore the town and soak in the local atmosphere.

In the afternoon, embark on a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, inhabited by the Hmong minority people. Interact with the local families and experience their rich culture. Overnight stay in Sapa.

Day 3: Trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages (B/L)

After breakfast, visit Sapa’s daily market before embarking on a 3-4 hour trek along buffalo paths and trails, passing through several hill tribe villages including Lao Chai and Ta Van. Marvel at the stunning scenery and warm hospitality of the H’mong and Dzay people. Enjoy a delicious lunch along the way. Return to Sapa and spend the night.

Day 4: Sapa Exploration and Return to Lao Cai for Night Train to Hanoi (B/L)

Climb up Ham Rong Mountain to enjoy panoramic views of Sapa and its surroundings. Explore two orchid gardens before checking out of your hotel. Visit Ta Phin Valley, home to the Red Dao and Hmong minorities. Transfer to Lao Cai station for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay Junk Cruise (B/L/D)

Arrive in Hanoi early morning and enjoy breakfast and coffee at a restaurant. Depart Hanoi by private vehicle and reach the jetty by midday. Board a junk boat for a 3.5-hour cruise through the mystical Halong Bay. Marvel at the unique karst formations, visit caves, swim at Ti Top beach, and enjoy a seafood feast for dinner. Overnight on the junk boat.

Day 6: Halong Bay Cruise – Return to Hanoi (B)

Wake up to the tranquil beauty of Halong Bay. Have an early morning dip followed by breakfast on the boat. Explore Sung Sot Cave and relax at Soi Sim Beach. Enjoy brunch as the boat cruises back to the jetty. Return to Hanoi by car and conclude your tour.

Day 7: Departure from Hanoi (B)

Enjoy your last day in Hanoi at your leisure. Explore more of the city, shop for souvenirs, or savor some delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Our guide will assist you with your transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight.
