Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hotel companies, with more than 30 brands and over 8,000 properties in 139 countries. In Vietnam, Marriott operates a diverse portfolio spanning luxury, premium and select-service brands, with a development pipeline that will more than double its presence in the coming years.
Marriott’s strength in Vietnam lies in its breadth. The group operates luxury landmarks like JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay and JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, premium brands like Sheraton and Le Méridien, and select-service options like Courtyard by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton. Through its landmark 2026 agreement with Sun Group, Marriott will add 10 new hotels and resorts across Phu Quoc and Vung Tau, introducing W Hotels and Moxy Hotels to Vietnam for the first time.
We include Marriott International as a verified international hotel group because of its scale and the diversity of its brands in Vietnam. Whether you are looking for a design-led luxury resort or a reliable city hotel, Marriott operates a property that fits.
Marriott operates a wide range of brands in Vietnam, from luxury flagships to select-service hotels. Several brands are making their Vietnamese debut through the Sun Group agreement.

Marriott has been expanding its luxury presence in Vietnam with signings that introduce new brands and reinforce its commitment to the market.
In 2023, Marriott announced the signing of three luxury resorts in Vietnam: The Luxury Collection Resort on Hon Thom Island, Ritz-Carlton Reserve on Hon Thom Island, and JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa in northern Vietnam. These signings mark the expected debut of Ritz-Carlton Reserve and The Luxury Collection in Vietnam, and represent Marriott’s confidence in the country’s luxury travel market.

Marriott’s growth in Vietnam reflects the country’s rising profile as a destination for both leisure and business travel. With 42 hotels across 11 brands following the Sun Group agreement, Marriott is positioning itself as a leader in Vietnam’s hospitality sector across every segment.
The agreement with Sun Group is particularly significant because it introduces two new brands to Vietnam — W Hotels and Moxy Hotels — and deepens Marriott’s presence in Phu Quoc, which is emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic resort destinations. The addition of three Vung Tau properties also signals Marriott’s interest in Vietnam’s southern coastal cities beyond the established hubs of Danang and Nha Trang.
