His Perspective
From
guide
to founder.
Hugh’s career has been built around one idea: travel is most powerful when it creates connection.
His journey began as an English teacher at Vinh Long High School before he transitioned into tourism and became an English-speaking local guide.
Over more than 13 years as a local guide, Hugh developed an intimate understanding of Vietnam’s cultural landscapes and the importance of authentic encounters.
He later spent more than 12 years as an Operations Manager with Abercrombie & Kent, where he worked with international travelers, guides, drivers and hospitality teams.
That combination of field knowledge and operational discipline became the foundation for his later work in cultural partnerships and sustainable tourism.

Travel Philosophy
The guide
as cultural
translator.
Hugh believes the best guides do more than explain what travelers see. They help travelers understand the people, history, traditions and values behind what they encounter.
That belief shapes his approach to every journey: create genuine interactions, respect host communities and give travelers opportunities to understand rather than simply observe.
He believes every traveler leaves a footprint — positive or negative — and encourages journeys that contribute positively to the communities visited.
For Hugh, luxury is not simply comfort. It is access to knowledge, people and moments that cannot normally be bought.

Hugh brings another essential dimension to that vision: the people behind the places.
