What is the best time of year for a Vietnam beach holiday?
Vietnam’s beaches have different optimal seasons. Da Nang and Hoi An are best from February to August. Nha Trang and Cam Ranh are best from January to August. Phu Quoc and Con Dao are best from November to April. Mui Ne’s kitesurfing season runs November to April. We plan each journey around the best season for its destinations.
Which is better — Phu Quoc or Con Dao?
Phu Quoc is larger, more developed, and offers a wider range of resorts, restaurants, and activities. Con Dao is smaller, quieter, more exclusive, and home to Six Senses and a protected marine national park. Phu Quoc suits families and travellers wanting more choice; Con Dao suits travellers seeking exclusivity and quiet.
Which is better — Nha Trang or Da Nang?
Nha Trang has Vietnam’s most famous beach city atmosphere — offshore islands, mud baths, and a wide range of resorts. Da Nang has a cleaner, longer beach, more upscale resorts, and better access to Hoi An and Hue. Cam Ranh, just south of Nha Trang, offers a quieter upscale alternative to both.
Can we combine beach time with culture?

Can we visit the Mekong Delta and a beach on the same journey?

Are there direct flights to Phu Quoc and Con Dao?
Yes. Phu Quoc has direct flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and several international destinations. Con Dao has direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City only. Cam Ranh has its own international airport, and Nha Trang is served by Cam Ranh. We book all domestic flights as part of the journey.
